We are deeply committed to doing all we can to provide a safe holiday for all our guests at 12 Newchurch. We will update this page with the latest information on how we are handling things and implementing the latest government guidelines as the situation continues to evolve.
If you are unable to travel to take your holiday because of a national or local lockdown affecting (1) the contact address given on your Booking Form or (2) 12 Newchurch, we will give you a full refund for any payments already made. This applies only to the dates where the travel restrictions impact your holiday.
This does not apply if you or any members of your party are unable to travel due to illness, quarantine or self-isolation. In these cases, claims should be made to your travel insurance provider. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive cover.
As agreed in the House Rules, guests with Covid-19 symptoms must not isolate at the house and must immediately return home.
We comply with the latest government guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19. We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and have introduced enhanced cleaning between guests. When cleaning, we wear protective equipment including gloves, aprons and masks, with frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitiser. High contact areas, such as light-switches, TV remotes, door handles, handrails and desks are cleaned with disinfectants to the European standard of EN14476.
On your holiday
For extra security and convenience, our award-winning keyless lock uses a special PIN generated for you so there’s no need to download any apps or collect keys. Don’t worry though — we’re nearby and available to contact throughout your stay if there are any issues or emergencies.
Bed linen, towels and high risk items
In addition to thorough laundering to disinfect linen and towels, we rotate several full sets between guests for extra protection. We have unfortunately had to remove high risk items from the house such as cushions and throws.
Restrictions may have an impact on the availability of service providers in the local area, including pubs, restaurants and attractions. We try to advertise any updates on our Facebook page, and are very happy to answer any questions you have by email.
