Barley is a popular starting point for many scenic walks including Pendle Hill, and home to two pubs, a cafe, village hall and Methodist church.

This route celebrates the industrial past of Pendle Water and the area’s historic links with witchcraft whilst allowing fantastic views of the Pendle countryside.

Following the path of Pendle Water, beautiful Roughlee offers historic houses, a waterfall, the Bay Horse Inn and a vibrant village centre.
